Week of January 9th- 13th

This week we focused on Martin Luther King Jr. We learned what a brave, humble, and kind man he was. We discussed how he wanted everyone to be treated with kindness, respect, and fairness.  Yes, we come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, but we are all people.

Together we can make one heart!

Together we can make one heart!

We read a wonderful book for youngsters by David A. Adler called A Picture Book of Martin Luther King, Jr.  We also read a beautiful story called The Colors of Us.

In our centers this week we started working with money. Ask your child how much a penny, nickle, dime and quarter is worth! In honor of MLK we painted a MLK poem, " My Own Two Hands" that we have displayed in the classroom. We completed a worksheet which helped us with our coloring, tracing, writing and scissor skills. We finished the week off by coloring a picture of what our dream is for the world!

We Celebrated Blake's Birthday!

Happy Birthday Blake!

Family Movie Night!

Thank you to all the families that came out for Movie Night! It was a very fun evening! The children always have so much fun when they get together at events like this! It was great seeing everyone eating popcorn and enjoying themselves!

Have a wonderful weekend!
