Welcome to January! This year is just flying past. I can't beleive how much our class has grown since the beginning of school!
A new student!
We started off the year with a new student. She fits right in, and our class loves her already.
Birthdays BIRTHDAYS BIRTHDAYS!
We celebrated two birthdays this week! Hooray for being 5!
Lets see where we are with our age graph
This week we learned about First, Next, and Last. We all got to come up to the front of the class and talk about what order we were in.
We were cooped up from the rain this week so as soon as it stopped we went outside to have a relay race!
We also made "R"aindrops. They're hanging in our classroom. Come see them next week but be careful not to stand directly under them... You never know if you're going to get wet!
We went on an scavenger hunt adventure with our Study Buddies this week. We found some really cool stuff on our playground and grass area.
We made shiny keys out of aluminum foil. Tearing the aluminum foil was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed it while working on their motor skills. Tearing paper forces your hands to move in opposite directions. This helps them do other daily tasks such as jacket zippers and opening ziplock bags.
A little bit of parking lot conversation
Let's play the "Lion Game"
How well do you recognize your friends clothing?
Okay, since rain is both mine and Ms. Martha's favorite weather, I decided to make it the theme of our joke this week. I know it's been a while, so hopefully this one makes up for your three humorless weeks.
What does a cloud wear under his raincoat?
That's all for this week. See you Tuesday.
