Week Twenty One

Multi-Cultural Studies

This month we started exploring our cultures. We are all different and unique. Since we have different families and traditions we are asking you to help us celebrate our diversity. This week we learned about the Philippines. One of our students went there over Christmas break and he told us about his trip, his family, and how Filipino children greet their elders.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Heroes in a half shell, TURTLE POWER!

When I was 5 my favorite thing in the whole world was TMNT so I was so excited for our class to make "N"inja Turtles.

Meet our Star Student! She is a really sweet girl. She loves to dress up in fancy clothes and sparkly jewelry. Recently she went to Lake Arrowhead and learned how to ski. It was really fun but cold. I'm so glad we learned more about you this week!

This week we learned about volcanoes. We watched some of them erupt online and then did our own volcano experiment.

I'm pretty sure you are going to ERUPT with laughter after this weeks joke...

What did one volcano say to the other volcano?

I lava you!
