PREPARING FOR THE FUN!
This upcoming Tuesday is, as you know Halloween! We will be having our annual parade and carnival! The parade starts at 9am. For those looking forward to take pictures, you may post yourself right outside the school's main doors. Each class will stop right in front to take a class photo!
Please remember that all students are invited, however those who are not typically enrolled on Tuesdays, need to have a parent or guardian with them at all times. There are also costume rules, please do not bring "weapons", wear masks, and make sure that your child has comfortable walking shoes, -Sorry girls, leave the glass slipper for Prince Charming at home! :)
We had a blast withe the special visitors from Animal Tracks. Not only did we get to meet local animals to California, but foreign animals from all regions of the world. We learned about the special eyes that alligators have, how strong and heavy a boa constrictor can be, and why we shouldn't smile at monkeys with our teeth!
If you have had any conversations with me lately you may have heard about a cold being recycled in my home! It's that time a year again that we need to be extra careful with hand washing, disinfecting, and opening windows to let germs out and fresh air in. Regardless of being sick or out at meetings. I will always be available and here to support the school, even if it is remotely.
I urge each and everyone of you to please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, comments, ideas, whatever the case, contact me. There are many ways to reach me, either by calling the school office, walking in to talk in person, sending me an email, or anonymously by placing a note in the PAB suggestion box.

One Suggestion box comment will be addressed here:
1. Who holds the Principal and PAB accountable?
I am held accountable by many people. Parents, students, teachers, the California Department of Social Services "Licensing", Father Riz, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. I make large goals, and find small steps to reach them. Goals like increasing enrollment, creating a family friendly fundraising event, having a cohesive team, deepening my faith, building connections, and strengthening the ties of school and parish community.
The PAB, is an ADVISORY board, and their primary purpose is to:
A. Raise funds for enrichment, maintenance and growth of the school
B. Serve as advisory body for the Principal
C. To assist in the facilitation and allocation of funds on behalf of the preschool in areas such as supplies, enrichment, scholarship, and philanthropy.
D. To be an extension of the Catholic Church, in promoting a sense of community among our students, parents, staff, and parishioners.

I hope that reading the above addressed question was enlightening and encouraging for others to continue to ask questions, make suggestions, or offer comments to me or at least in our suggestion box, located in the office.
