This week, many classrooms have been working on the challenges of growing up. As much as it can be difficult for us, adults to grow, it can be just has hard for our little ones. Tasks that we think are easy can be challenging for little fingers, little legs, lack of language and everything in between. What we value most here, is the ability to meet the child at his or her level, speak to them eye to eye and explain the importance of the task at hand. Explaining on how to hold a pencil, explaining on how to not run, explaining how to ask for help, or tell a friend to stop. What are some ways that you can help at home to coach and mentor your little one in growing? What are some ways you can encourage independence?
This Sunday, the 17th join me and all of the staff for a special blessing of all Catechists. We will be attending the 10:00am mass. We hope to see you and your family there to cheer us on and say a little prayer as we help your child grow through faith together.
