Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a bridge that builds into Kindergarten.  TK is for children who turn 5 years old after the cut off date of September 1st and who can benefit from the opportunity to enhance their academic, social, physical and emotional skills needed for success.

The TK classroom environment includes many opportunities for social-emotional development and play.  We include dramatic play time, small group instruction, and project-based learning.  Developing fine motor skills, independence, social awareness and attention span are just a few of the concepts we strive to develop in TK.  We promote learning by creating an environment that is exciting and fun! We follow Developmentally Appropriate Practices (as set forth by NAEYC) in the classroom as a critical piece of promoting learning and growth.

Our goal is to provide your child with time to develop fundamental skills needed for success in Kindergarten.
